Extended Time Periods Between Bankruptcy Discharges

The time period which must pass before a person may receive a bankruptcy discharge in consecutive bankruptcy cases has been lengthened, depending upon the Chapter in which the current and previous cases were filed. The table below specifies the legal time periods which must pass between cases under both the old and new law:
